Question:

 May Allaah be benevolent to you. Your eminence, this questioner says: al - Qahtaani, rahimahu Allaah, says in his Nooniya (poetry): "And the sleep on top of the roof underneath the sky, perishes and takes away the radiance of the bodies." What does this mean?

Shaykh Saalih al - Fawzaan:

Yes.

It means, according to them, that the sleep under the moon (lunar) ray is harmful to the health. This is harmful to the health and the bodies. He should therefore cover himself with a blanket/quilt, even if it is a light one.
